A weekend letter cannot vote for the FOMC

Last updated:

Saturday’s lending note is about the letter that wants to skip to Tuesday. The Federal Open Market Committee meets September 15–16. Friday already said the last weekday before that week is not a lock. Today there is no official daily coupon at all. Mortgage News Daily’s index is a weekday survey. The last official daily 30-year cited here is still 6.81% as of August 28. A Saturday pre-qual that pretends to know the vote is a hope tape.

Different surveys. None of these is a lock. The 15-year and 10-year are the last figures named on this site.

What is closed today, and what still sits on next week’s calendar?

There is no Saturday official daily 30-year on this site. September 5 already said a holiday Saturday does not print one. Today’s split is the policy calendar: the meeting is still Monday and Tuesday. A weekend letter can name that date. It cannot name the decision. Thursday already said a Freddie weekly day is not a sourced reprint. Keep 6.66% as of August 27 as the last weekly.

The 15-year context from the August 28 daily print is 6.35%. Wednesday already said this week’s PPI and CPI calendars are not a lock. This desk has sourced neither inflation print. Weekly claims last cited here are 203,000. The last official monthly payrolls figure named here is July, down 23,000. August’s Employment Situation has not been sourced. Invent none of those as a weekend APR.

What should a Saturday letter cite into FOMC week?

Name 6.81% as of August 28 and say it is not a lock. If a lender will even write a weekend letter, it buys a rate and points on a named file for a stated period. It does not buy Monday’s survey. It does not buy the statement. The next weekday index this site expects is Monday.

Use the payment calculator only as a shape. Add tax and insurance. The result is not an approval. This publication does not originate loans or take applications. A lock belongs with a licensed originator after a named coupon.

FAQ

Did this site cite a new official daily 30-year on September 12?

No. Saturday is not a weekday survey day. The last official daily 30-year cited here is still 6.81% as of August 28, 2026, until a newer dated index is sourced.

Can a weekend pre-qual lock the September FOMC?

No. The meeting this site has named is still September 15–16, 2026. A Saturday letter cannot vote. Neither is a personal APR.
